This is a work in progress, I was required to animate 5 of our life drawings we had done in a sequence. I have drawn out the 5 main poses that I had drawn in life drawing and using a stickman I have linked each frame together, this will make drawing her much easier and saves time if I were to do a mistake.
Flour Bag Animation
Here I had to create a flour bag animation interacting with another object. As a flour bag is an object I decided to add another flour bag into the mix for a little fun :). Sadly this animation was intended to be 30 seconds as I was going to slow down the framerate in photoshop; however, it crashed photoshop due to the file size. Anyways, enjoy:)

15 min pro-marker drawings
3 second black pencil sketches
10 min black pencil, chalk and pro-marker drawings
This week I was really focusing on movement and the model moving from one pose to the next. I was required to loosen up in the second image and only capture the essentials of the pose. I found this challenging due to the speed but was fun to do.

For the second half of the lesson we had to apply the same principals to a theme that Justin randomly gave each of us; I was tasked with Zombies so I went for a square shaped security guard (middle) A triangular shaped woman in a gown (Left) and a circular shaped creepy girl (Right).

Images of character - Princess Mononoke.
For this lesson I was required to print out some images of a favorite character of mine. I chose Princess Mononke. During the first half of the lesson I had to look into the way my character was built and change her build using shapes to change the way in which you'd judge what type of character she was. for example: Evil villains seem to have triangles throughout their designs symbolizing danger and edginess. Whereas superheroes seem to be based more square shaped showing strength, courage but with a more intimidating edge and sidekicks tend to be rounder shaped showing softness, gentleness and kindness.
For the 1st sketches I had done Justin was pleased with the outcome. I used squares to make her more masculine and intimidating but kept her proportions correct.
For these sketches I had really tried to push what was possible with the characters, they however deviated too much from the original character changing Mononoke to a different person, however if I kept the body proportions the same it would have worked.
These were my final sketches for this first half of the session. These were drawn after I had my one to one with Justin, he told me about proportions to keep the characters the same but without changing their characteristics too much.

4) 23:51 - Remy sits there stationary on the window-ledge looking at the soup; toying with the idea of finishing it.

6) 23:53 - Whilst in deep thought he is startled by his imaginary friend Auguste Gusteau who originally owned the restaurant and it's kitchen.
7) 23:54 - Remy angrily turns and cries "Is this going to be a regular thing with you?" to Gusteau
8) 23:55 - Gusteau explains why Remi should finish the food.
9) 24:03 - Remy looks back at the pot, saddened, but then with a face of determination decides that he should go and finish the soup.

Camera Rig Mouse Run from Ruth Cann on Vimeo.
This animation was just a random tryout to see how the camera would move around the objects. I mistakingly added the grid and due to stretching the timeline I wasn't able to remove it for the final video but I now know how to resolve this problem.
