Magician Development - Character Designs

Combining thumbnail 6+8 together 
I liked the design of number 8 from my original thumbnails but it seemed a bit creepy, my story is quite a mellow story so I decided to focus on a more frail and saddened look, so I combined thumbnails 6 and 8 together to create a new design, Thumbnail 9. I prefer his less aggressive appearance but still keeping some of the character from thumbnail 8.

      Thank you :) I am now going to finalise no.9 's design making sure I have all of the details, I will also start designing the young grandson :D

    I like 9 a lot!! I agree with you that you've kept him characterful but still managed to take away some of the pointy-ness that made 8 a bit creepy.
